In the new episode of BEYOND MEANING, I’m joined by meditation teacher, psychotherapist, and founder of Effortless Mindfulness, Loch Kelly.
In this conversation, we explore what it means to “wake up” without repressing or denying our humanity. Loch shares how awareness can recognize itself directly through simple “glimpses,” an approach he learned from his teacher, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. Loch also explains why awakening is not a one-time event but an ongoing integration, and how meditation and therapy can work together rather than compete. We also speak about the ego not as an illusion to be destroyed, but as a part of the psyche that can be included and healed.
This episode is especially rich and practical. Loch guides us through 2 mindful "glimpses": one opening into spacious awareness, and another that can help us deal with trauma, fear, and emotional pain. We also spend half an hour discussing questions submitted by the SEEKER TO SEEKER community of supporters.
