Friends, I am going live on YouTube soon to present a new perspective on the Buddha’s no-self teaching. My lecture will go through the self view, the no-self teaching, and the letting go of views and teachings as consecutive stages on the path to liberation from suffering.
I will also be responding to questions from the chat, so make sure you join and submit yours!
You can watch the lecture live (or in replay) here:
I hope this brings some extra clarity and motivation to your journey!
With love and gratitude,
Simeon
The No-Self Teaching Of The Buddha
It is on the nature of the self that Buddhism gives the most controversial theory, or rather, non-theory, in the history of religion. You are not your body, the Buddha said, and most other religions would agree. But he also claimed you are not an immortal soul. You are not consciousness, nor feeling, nor mind, nor will, nor some primal cosmic substance. But, according to the Buddha, it is also not true to say that you are nothing, that you do not exist.
